In the countries of Europe, north of America and other developed ones, coffee is one beverage that is very popular and appreciated. Meanwhile the active component by the name of caffeine that is present in the coffee has become a matter of concern not just for researchers but as well for those people who are health-conscious. As people are, experiencing craving for coffee, which is due to the caffeine and which may lead to developing an addiction for it, which is known as coffee addiction. Therefore, because of the harmful effects associated with caffeine, it is better to keep moderate in take of coffee as suggested by the findings of the studies.
The Effects
The invigorating and augmenting are the immediate effect on the bodies physical and minds mental energy, which is associated with consuming a stimulating drink like coffee. However, later on one might feels dangerous and just the opposite effect of having a coffee. The stress hormones are been released in the blood by the body, as the mind is stimulated by coffee. One can experience alertness that is unusual because of the presence of these kinds of hormones. In fact, the excessive stimulation robs the energy from the mind as well as body, which is ultimately results in having feeling of fatigue, bouts of depressed and irritable mood. Not only this even the night sleep is interfered due to coffee and feeling of fatigue is perpetuates, which makes matter more bad. Then you need more of coffee so that you regain your strength, which ultimately results in having the problem of coffee addiction. Some of the health related problem like heartburn, irregular heartbeats, acidity and dark circles around the eyes are been faced by a coffee addict. While there are many other side effects, that are faced by an addict, which the researchers are confirming.
What Are The Symptom
Excessive craving for coffee is the primary symptom that coffees addict experiences. Apart from this, other symptoms includes heartburn, feeling fatigue through out the day, disturbed sleeping, irritability and feeling of discomfort as well as stiffness in hands, shoulder, stomach, back, legs and neck. Apart from this the other symptoms that are experienced by an addict are constipation, facing difficulty in concentrating, dizziness, heaviness, anxiety and women face the pre- menstrual syndrome i.e. the PMS.
How To Come Out Of It
Reducing the daily intake of coffee is the first thing, which an addict should do. However, care should be taken, as suddenly give up or reduce your intake of coffee, will have disturbing effect. That is because for people who are addicted to coffee, find it very difficult to give it up. One may experience symptoms like headache, fatigue, poor orientations, nausea, difficulty in concentration, constipation, frequent memory lapses and increase in the PMS symptoms among women these are nothing but the withdrawal symptoms that are normally experienced by the addict, but one must gradually give up coffee so that the severity of these symptoms is not much. Since you are addicted to coffee, what you should do is to reduce the daily intake of your coffee to half the dose. Herbal tea, which is more healthy option, can actually replace that left out half dose of coffee. Gradually your intake of coffee should come down to having only two cups or even less then that every day. Other healthier options like fresh fruit juice, herbal tea or even a soup are better.
Summary
Coffee is a good stimulating drink, but if you get addicted to it, then it is bad as it has some side effects to it.
