A Coffee Maker By Braun
July 17, 2008
A coffee maker is a good option for all the coffee lovers. With the same concept in the year 1963, the Braun Company launched its first ever-coffee maker in the market. Although keeping in mind the commercial use the coffee maker was launched. However, it definitely brought a change which made everyone look at a new concept of brewing coffee in an all together new way which made having the drink of coffee all the time.
The Initial Time
The percolators were used for making coffee; this was much before Braun launched a coffee maker. The stovetop and the electric were the two main types of percolators that were available at the time. In case of the stovetop percolators, to make a cup of coffee what you needed to do was to put it in the stove. However, in case of electric percolators the use of electricity prepared coffee. The coffee maker by the Braun was a dripolator, which differed from the percolators.
The Braun coffee maker made use of a system that was different in the sense that it had separate chambers wherein the grounded coffee beans and the water reservoir were kept separately. The filter was where these were placed and the filter found its place in the basket. The usual process of making coffee, when the Braun coffee maker is turned on, the water gets heated to a temperature that is right enough to make coffee. The next step includes the dripping of this hot water on the basket wherein the filter is placed, which contains the grounded coffee beans in it. The dripping process is bit slowly and that is why it takes a little time, which enables the hot water to absorb the coffee flavor form the beans. A cup placed is where the water having the right flavor gets collected and this contributes to a cup of coffee that is perfect in taste.
A coffee was excellent in taste; just fast, enough to brew as well had a flavor rich enough when got prepared using the above-mentioned way. The design of the filter was such that it kept the coffee and grounded beans away from being mixed up and hence gave phenomenal results.
The coffee maker from Braun not just made brewing coffee easy with keeping that perfect taste of coffee, that in front of dripolators, the percolators looked as a poor second choice. However, there was no looking back for the company of Braun, since they set the trend in the recent time of making a coffee maker for home use.
It was in the year 1972, when Mr. Coffee launched the first ever dripolator for homely use. Joe DiMaggio, the famous baseball player of that time actively promoted them which not only made them famous but as well popular since the 80s periods.
This marked the very beginning of using coffee makers for homely use, which is very popular even today. Since then there was no looking back and in the present day scenario we have coffee makers, which can actually make gourmet coffee on the counter of your kitchen, isn’t that simply great?
Summary
Coffee makers have gained immense popularity in the recent times. We can attribute the credit of making them famous to a company, which is known by the name of Braun. The credit goes to the completely, as they changed the way of brewing your coffee, with not just rich flavor, right temperature, and excellent taste but as well easy and fast.
